We utilise a variety of hand-held saws for smaller jobs and situations where other methods may be impractical. Diamond ring saws are ideal for cutting through reinforced concrete and masonry, especially in areas with limited access and for creating smaller openings. The ring saw’s diamond blade is driven from the outer edge, allowing it to cut up to 325mm deep using a 425mm blade, achieving the same depth as an 800mm circular blade. These saws can be powered by either 400v electric or a petrol-powered hydraulic power pack.
Diamond chainsaws, similar to woodcutting chainsaws but equipped with a diamond-segmented chain, are most effective for cutting softer materials such as brick and block. Grinders and cut-off saws are used to make shallow cuts up to 165mm deep, with applications including creating openings in masonry walls, cutting concrete pipes to length, and intricate work such as trimming precast planks or stairs.
